Even though I had been running for a little over 14 months and completed three 100-mile challenges, I knew I need a coach to kick my running game to another level. I love structured activities because, without that, I get overwhelmed and give up.  After completing the St. Jude Hospital 100-mile challenge in July 2021, I contacted Veronica to guide the running routine. You may ask yourself:  Why get a coach when up can just get out and run? It is because a running coach understands the scient behind running, they understand what your body needs in terms of hydration and healthy nutrition to fuel your body and keep it healthy for the sport. They understand strength training and more importantly, they understand the importance of REST, something I was not doing very well during my running challenges. 

When Veronica became my running coach, she removed the guesswork from my running routine. She gave me the structure and mapped my running activities each weak. She guided my nutritional needs in addition to great core-building exercises. As a coach, Veronica held me accountable by checking on me once a week or as needed to encourage me and to answer any questions I had. Our honest conversations gave me hope and motivation. She is easy-going but disciplined and that balance is what I needed. On my part, I kept it real and honest. I shared with her the good days and the ones I struggled with the most. Her encouragement helped me to not give up even when on some days I didn’t want to get up and hit the trails.  

With Veronica’s coaching, I have become stronger, developed mental toughness, I feel healthier and fit. My skin has improved – it is clear and hydrated. I even love my own shadow.
